Chevrolet Agile Sport

Adding a footer section to a Blogger template

This article is about how to add a a footer section to your blog. It was written in late 2009, before Designer Templates were available. Today, the best approach is to use a Designer template. However this article has been updated for people who are still using Layout templates.

Footer sections and Blogger templates

HTML5-BlockElementsBlogger's Designer Templates (ref Template types in Blogger) all let you configure the footer section - you can have a one, two or three column footer, and this together with choosing where to add gadgets gives a lot of flexibility about how the footer looks.
But if you are using an older Layout template that doesn't ave a footer and you want to add one, you can either:

Ading a footer section to a Layout template

Edit your template

 • Pre-Sept-11: Design > Edit HTML
 • Post-Sept-11: Template > Edit HTML > Proceed

Download a full copy of your existing template (in case things go wrong), and put it somewhere safe

Find the part where the code says:
</b:skin>

Add the following code immediately before this. (This adds a style for youre new footer to use)
#footer {
border-top:1px dotted #999999;
clear:both;
margin:0 auto;
}

Find the part where the code says:

Add this code immediately after that point (this is setting up the footer section in your new template)

<b:section class='footer' id='footer' maxwidgets='10' showaddelement='yes'>
</b:section>

A similar technique works for adding multiple Footers, if your template already has one - you just have to make sure that the section gets a separate ID (eg id='footer2' in the part in bold-italics).

Ford Focus 1.6 16v

Low Price Samsung N120-12GW 10.1-Inch White Netbook - 6 Cell Battery

Did not expect the machine to work as well as it did. Samsung has really thought out the design from a user's standpoint. The size of the screen is the weakest part of the experience. However Samsung predicted this and have built in some handy functions to mitigate the frustration that comes from moving from larger monitors to the smaller panel. The screen is very bright and can be used easily in direct sunlight without a problem. The graphics card is decent and can be hooked up to higher resolution monitors and TVs. The brightness range is more dramatic than the HP and Dell laptops I've had in the past. I can turn it up for viewing in direct sunlight, then turn it down for comfortable reading at night in the car.

The battery life if much better than expected. Timed it and I got about 10 hours of life (my Dell, Acer and HP laptops never came close to the published battery life). With an external (USB) high-end GPS receiver I got about 5 hours of continuous operation before the low battery warning would sound.

Never had a problem with lack of processor speed. Videos, and games work without hiccups or pauses.

My only complaint is the 'home' and 'end' key functions are difficult to use since you need to press the special function key with another. My opinion is that the 'home' and 'end' keys should be single key press keys. The 'page up' and 'page down' keys, that are less used, would be a better choice for the two key press scenario. After a few days of use I learned to not use the keys anymore.

Out in public I've received many comments/compliments on the machine. The white looks sharp.

Machine feels solid, durable. The mat finish feels good and is easy to grip and tote around.

All features (camera, wi-fi, etc) worked better than expected and without hiccups.

An unbelievable value for the price.

Save HP Mini 110-1109NR 10.1-Inch White Netbook - Up to 3.5 Hours of Battery Life (Windows XP)

I picked this up on sale during Black Friday week not expecting very much and have been quite happy with the performance. I would definitely buy this laptop again and would recommend it to friends.

Pros:
+ Keyboard is "easier" to type on than the size would suggest. It takes about a day, but it settles in nicely. Keys are very well made.
+ The white keyboard reflects the screen light at night so it is easier to see the keys than if it were dark.
+ The HP Instant Web that boots up in seconds is a nice touch for those who need it.
+ Performance and battery life are good considering the cost and specs of the machine. With the screen running on 4/10 I can easily get the claimed 3.5hours.
+ While not as thin as some of the other netbooks, it's thin enough.
+ XP runs well on this machine - tested running firefox with 100+ tabs open without any real lag.
+ WiFi range has been excellent. I get a better signal with this machine than I do with my Macbook which is b/g/n.
+ The machine sleeps/wakes quickly and hibernates/wakes quickly.

Cons:
- I've been told the quality of the camera is poor, but for me it's a trade-off between poor quality and having to chase the kids around with a 16" laptop while Skyping with relatives.
- The USB ports are all near the palm rest, so when using a USB 3G/4G modem it will stick up right near your hands.
- Mic/Headphones share a single port (not an issue for me, but perhaps for others)
- The side buttons on the touchpad are instantly hate-able - but I'm starting to get used to them.
- No bluetooth shipped with this model.
- Ships with junk software installed.
- Power light and WiFi light on the front of the machine are far too bright. If they had placed them above the keyboard then at least you could use them to type at night. Walking around with the laptop in the dark is basically like having two LED flashlights going.
- Occasionally it will remind you that it is a netbook and show an "application not responding" for a few moments while it catches its breath - usually after closing an application.

One additional note - the "white" laptop is actually white with lightly colored gray circles. Also, the pictures above show the sides/base of the laptop being white as well, but the laptop actually is black on the bottom/sides - which is probably for the best.

Lowest Price Acer Aspire One AOD250-1116 10.1-Inch Red Netbook - 3+ Hour Battery Life

I have purchased 3 Acer Netbooks. When the hard drive on the first one died in six months, I thought it was just a fluke. Now, number 2 is on the same death trajectory. It starts with the hard drive initially emitting a loud death rattle, which in turn becomes a steady humming. Then it either cannot make a network connection or becomes so slow one thinks one is still on dial up. The price is dandy and they sure are cute, but disposable cameras have a longer life span. Invest in something a little more expensive until you find it exciting to buy a new computer every six months.Get more detail about Acer Aspire One AOD250-1116 10.1-Inch Red Netbook - 3+ Hour Battery Life.

Gateway LT2022u 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - Up to 3 Hours of Battery Life Decide Now

I didn't really have any intentions of purchasing a netbook since I already have a 12.1" laptop (HP TX1000), but my laptop is showing signs of dying and this little doo-dad was on sale at $230. I plan on purchasing a 15"~ laptop once the 12.1" laptop dies as this is not a laptop-replacement for power users (no CD/DVD drive for starters).

First I have to say the design is very nice. The black and silver looks premium and sophisticated, but not gaudy. The inside is a little more basic looking, but the silver hinges and reflective frame around the screen give it some pizazz (although the sticker residue did NOT come off nicely and I ended up leaving light surface scratches when removing)

The track pad is pretty small compared to a normal sized trackpad on a laptop, but is very usable. Only takes a minute to adapt. The side scroller works very smoothly (unlike some other laptops I've tried). The button on the bottom acts as a rocker from side to side for your left and right click.

Weight and thinness are certainly commendable, but you can get the measurements from most product descriptions to see how this compares to others. In my comparisons, I found this one above average (but not best-of-the-best).

Performance is nothing short of remarkable. VERY FAST (but only for basic tasks). Opening internet explorer, browsing around the computer, etc. makes you believe you have a supercomputer, but once you try to play HD video on Youtube, you definitely reach the limitations of the system (regular Youtube videos work fine, even full-screen).

The 0.3 megapixel web cam doesn't seem like much compared to the 1.3 megapixels of other netbooks/notebooks, but this is definitely enough for webconferencing and making fun videos for yourself. It's not like you're taking pictures with it.

Even with only a 10.1" screen, the text is very readable without going to a lower resolution and then not being able to fit everything on the screen. Very pleased in this respect as it was a concern for me.

The laptop screen is difficult to open though... maybe there's a technique to it, but it's completely flush on all sides except where the chrome gateway logo strip is in the center. Also, the sound is not loud at all. Full blast volume is 60% of what you'd expect, so be sure to bring portable speakers or headphones...

As far as connectivity, it gives you everything you need. Everything is on the sides (rather than the back or front) for easy access without getting in the way. There's a network connection, VGA (monitor) port, USB port, mic and speaker ports on the left side and the power cord, two usb ports and a multi-function card reader on the right.

Overall this netbook really impressed me. It is definitely going to be grabbed more often than my 12.1" laptop for its lightweight portability, quietness, and lack of heat - all without sacrificing speed for simple tasks. I only hope this netbook surprises me with reliability in the years to come.

Update/Edit:

Today I put in iTunes and was able to get the sound up to par by maxing out both Windows Sound and iTunes. I was able to do the same with Windows Media PlayerGet more detail about Gateway LT2022u 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - Up to 3 Hours of Battery Life.

HP Mini 110-1125NR 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - Up to 8 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter) Best Quality

I got it with 2gb memory as some reviewers suggsted. The IOS (Instant Operating System) boots in about 6 seconds (I didn't know it had the option when I bought it). Awesome! It provides internet email, internet, and music and pictures (nothing else). If you want Windows 7 you just click on bottom left screen. The KB is close to being full sized and very clear. My first few days of use had the battery going 8+ hrs. The only downside (and this is true for all notebooks) is the small screen which requires a lot more scrolling to view info. One reviewer rated it 1 star because of the battery doubling the thickness, but I found this positive as it 1: gives a good grip when carrying 2: elevates the KB to a good angle for typing (and BTW, one of the side photos clearly shows the battery)

Samsung GO N310-13GB 10.1-Inch Midnight Blue Netbook - 9 Hour Battery Life

What can I say, this netbook was the one I chose after researching the whole category thoroughly. I am extremely pleased. It has been flawless so far. I have added the 2gb upgrade and used the Samsung drive to load up all my software preferences.(perfect package) I cloned most of my main laptop's data and programs and with a few hiccups it digested and runs all of them well. I also bought earbuds with a mic for skype and it works great including the video webcam in the unit. The sound is decent with SRS for small speakers but to hear it best you need exterior speakers or good earbuds. The case, keyboard and quality in general are first rate.

I paid more than some others with similar specs but I'm glad I did. It rocks! Note: I believe that the XP home operating system is most appropriate for these units. It comes with a 3 month freebie of McAfee which is OK as a virus checker and it also has a decent spam filter that sits inside Outlook if you are running office. My preference is webroot anti-virus and spyware software. So on this unit I added [...] free download as McAfee is weak on the spyware side.

Spend a couple of bucks more and get this unit!!

Shop For Acer AOD250-1584 10.1-Inch Blue Netbook - Up to 9 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter)

This is the first netbook I have acquired. Purchased it on Amazon and was extremely pleased with the price and super fast free shipping. I have two othe Acer pc s but this was the first one where I ran into a problem, which was my own fault. At startup with Windows 7 starter, you are asked to type in a password of your choice. Since the keyboard is very small, I must have typed the wrong keys and since the box displays only dots and no characters I could not confirm that I entered the desired password. After completing setup I restarted the computer and Windows would not accept the password I thought I had typed.

I decided to call for help, but to my surprise I could not find a help desk phone number in any of the documentation that came with the netbook. Went to the Acer website and still could not find a number. Did a google search and found a number which was a foreign call center with a service rep who had an Asian accent and spoke English very fast. Had to ask her to slow down several times.

Since I had a "password problem" she stated I would have to send the pc to Acer service at a cost of $99.00!!!!!! Explained that this was unacceptable and I expected Acer to honor their warranty and provide better service. She finally explained how I could get to the restore window from startup by holding the alt key and tapping F 10. Netbooks have no disc drives or recovery discs. I did a complete restore which took over an hour and started all over again, this time using one finger to type my desired password. Success!!!!

The netbook is now working fine and I love it! Since Acer support was soooo lousy I can only give the product three stars. But for more computer savy folks, it's a great buy.Get more detail about Acer AOD250-1584 10.1-Inch Blue Netbook - Up to 9 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter).

Purchase Acer AOD250-1197 10.1-Inch Blue Netbook - Up to 8 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter)

I bought this netbook to do the everyday minor details and to ultimately phase out my Sony Laptop. Overall, I am very pleased with this product. In reality, there is not much I would change, though the "techies" out there might disagree.

There are two drawbacks that I wish would have been addressed:
One. The Office trial edition, I guess I didn't read the fine print. I looked all over for the Microsoft Product Key to activate the program, but apparently I need to buy this separately on MSNs website - Cost $80. MSN does allow you to use the Office programs, but only for about 20 times until it becomes inactive.

Second. As stated before, the Windows Starter Pack. As those before have stated, it has its limitations. I haven't tried to tackle this issue yet, but I do ultimately see me buying the upgrade.

So to the meat and potatoes. Would I recommend this product? Definitely, Yes. Just know that you may need to buy a couple of upgrades. The internet connection is great and fast. The keyboard really is not that small, once you get used to it. Great product for the price. Hope this helps.Get more detail about Acer AOD250-1197 10.1-Inch Blue Netbook - Up to 8 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter).

Buying ASUS Eee PC 1005HA-VU1X-WT 10.1-Inch White Netbook - 8.5 Hour Battery Life

We bought this for our son-in-law in October. He's already had to send it back because the hard drive was shot. It was returned to him with a new (or repaired) hard drive and now the power cord needs replacing. He has owned this notebook for less than 6 weeks and has seldom been able to use it because first he had to wait for the hard drive repair and now he is awaiting shipment of a new power cord. It has been nothing but trouble!Get more detail about ASUS Eee PC 1005HA-VU1X-WT 10.1-Inch White Netbook - 8.5 Hour Battery Life.

Purchase ASUS Eee PC Seashell 1005HA-PU17-BU 10.1-Inch Blue Netbook - 10.5 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter)

First, I acknowledge that I actually own the ASUS Eee PC 1005HA-PU17-BK with Windows 7 Starter; This is not the model that includes Win XP, which has different hardware specs.

After over a week of owning and actively using the 1005-PU17-BK, I wish to share the following points:

- Reading the reviews of the 1005HA Win XP model, I was hesitant to purchase any Eee netbook model, fearing issues with the power adapter. Upon vigorous daily use, I have had no issues with the power adapter at all.

- The keyboard layout is comfortable and the keys are a manageable size, with the exception of the UP/Down arrow keys. I like to scroll through web pages using the arrow keys; both keys are small for my average sized fingers.

- The netbook's performance is more than adequate for my needs, which includes word processing, web surfing, email, and watching video files. Note that if you are considering this model to watch high def video (1080p), this is not for you. Refer to an ION based netbook, like the HP Mini 311 or the Eee PC 1201N.

- Compared to the advertised battery life of 10.5 hours, my battery usage ranged at approximately 8 hours, using a "balanced" power scheme.

I am satisfied with the purchase of the 1005HA-PU17. Before making my decision on this model, I was considering the HP Mini 311. Although the Mini 311 featured the ION based video hardware, the Eee PC model included a 802.11n wireless NIC. Since my needs weighed more towards productivity than entertainment, I went for the extra wireless throughput.Get more detail about ASUS Eee PC Seashell 1005HA-PU17-BU 10.1-Inch Blue Netbook - 10.5 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter).

Order Acer Aspire One AOD250-1165 10.1-Inch Blue Netbook - 3+ Hour Battery Life

I have purchased 3 Acer Netbooks. When the hard drive on the first one died in six months, I thought it was just a fluke. Now, number 2 is on the same death trajectory. It starts with the hard drive initially emitting a loud death rattle, which in turn becomes a steady humming. Then it either cannot make a network connection or becomes so slow one thinks one is still on dial up. The price is dandy and they sure are cute, but disposable cameras have a longer life span. Invest in something a little more expensive until you find it exciting to buy a new computer every six months.Get more detail about Acer Aspire One AOD250-1165 10.1-Inch Blue Netbook - 3+ Hour Battery Life.

Shop For Toshiba Mini NB205-N230 10.1-Inch Black Onyx Netbook - 9 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter)

I received the Toshiba netbook two weeks ago. Needless to say, I spent some time setting it up for my preferences. This is my first Windows 7 PC. I found that the Windows 7 has some limitations with background settings, etc. I also noticed that the nice Windows Mail program (from Vista) was no longer available. I now use GMAIL. ANOTHER CON:The loudspeakers sound anemic and I needed earphones to really enjoy music.
I especially like the keyboard. I got the hang of it in a very short time and was able to type emails and word documents with almost the same speed as on the full size keyboard on my desktop. After about one day I convinced myself that NB 205 with 1 GB of memory was rather slow. So I ordered the 2 GB extra memory from Amazon. After replacing the 1 GB with the 2GB, I found that the speed and response time picked up remarkably. I achieved even better speed and response times when I inserted a 4 GB high speed SD card into the available slot and activated the Speedbooster function.(Available in Vista and W7) It uses the faster flash memory for paging instead of using the slower, hard disk. By now, this little netbook computer performs just about as well as my 6 GB HP desktop with Vista and a 2.4 MHZ processor. I like its looks, the small size, the keyboard, the speed. Quite a package.
The display is crisp and clear. Battery life - outstanding. I used the NB 205 for 8 hours on batteries only, and never missed a beat. Wireless transmission seems to be working just fine. Buying Toshiba Mini NB205-N210 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - 9 Hour Battery Life

I decided to get a netbook because I desperately needed to replace my two laptops, dying at the same time (one from former job, one personal). A netbook serves my needs for now until my financial situation improves--it does what I need, and the price is great. I got mine with Windows 7, well, Windows 7 starter, actually.

Through my research, the Toshiba 205 emerged as the clear winner. The two issues in all the customers reviews that concerned me the most were the non-responsive trackpad, and the cursor-jumping.

Trackpad:

I got lucky--my trackpad does work. The only issue is, that though it is much bigger than most netbook trackpads, the edges are not responsive, so I use only the middle. Not a problematic adjustment for me. A BIG plus is that the right and left click buttons are separate. I am accustomed to that from my other laptops, so this is nice--when I tried the single clicker in the store, it drove me nuts.

Cursor-jumping:

This was a HUGE problem the first couple of days. I thought I'd have to return this otherwise fine laptop, then, instead, I went online to look for a fix. The forums insisted that typists are inadvertently "hitting" the trackpad, causing the cursor to jump. I was sure I wasn't, but I tried one of the fixes--disabling the "tapping" feature through the Control Panel, very simple, took a couple of clicks. And voila! No more cursor-jumping.

Sound, as predicted, is terrible, with the speaker inexplicably placed underneath the unit. But I knew that going in, and with headphones, the sound is fine.

I read on another review, that Windows Starter 7 will not play DVDs. Should I buy a separate player to plug into this, I will see if it is an issue, but for now, that just hasn't arisen in my use.

I will likely, in a few months, establish a desktop/larger laptop system as my main system, as the smaller screen is definitely less than ideal for hours and hours of document-scanning/reading, but for now, this little gem, priced right, is doing the job.

Four instead of 5 stars because it did not come with the full Windows 7 version (apparently), and it does have the limitations of a netbook--small screen, bad sound, no CD/DVD drive.Get more detail about Toshiba Mini NB205-N210 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - 9 Hour Battery Life.

Chevrolet Agile Sunny

Linhas Chevrolet Energy e Geo

Nissan Sentra 2010

Produzindo 85/86 cv, ele passa a equipar as versões básica (R$ 48.950) e ELX (R$ 52.540).

Volkswagen Golf Black Edition
