Where To Buy Toshiba Mini NB205-N210 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - 9 Hour Battery Life

The Toshiba netbook not only feels like a winner but looks like one, too. The ribbed finish on the case helps to reduce fingerprints to a minimum.

All the major positive points have been documented by other reviewers but I have a one "fix" that I felt needed to be done. If you notice there is a reference to the small plastic panel underneath the unit that houses the RAM. The other, bigger panel, is not referenced. And it has two Torx screws that hold it into place. It's here that the hard drive resides. Since I plan to swap out drives I had to locate the proper Torx bit. I got it at A*E Hardware. The size is T6. Then, realizing that I would forever have to use this bit I decided to swap out the two screws that are next to each end of the 6 volt battery with the T6 screws. End of problem.

To create the dream netbook I guess you would have to somehow incorporate the 6 volt battery into the main netbook body like others have done. The weight is a bit on the heavy side. Also an ability to accept 4 GBs of RAM for 32 bit use would be great. Having said that, this unit seems to work well in any event.

Now the elongated case does cause a problem in chosing a case. I found two that work well with this unit. Targus 15.4 Sport CVR200. Although it rated for a 15.4 laptop it's both light, can carry more stuff and has a strap.

The other bag is from Toshiba. The Envoy 1680D. Amazon model # PA1444U-1CS2. Also with a strap. A bit more expensive but very well designed.

Teamed with the latest Atom CPU and faster RAM it's the most perfect netbook at this time. Get more detail about Toshiba Mini NB205-N210 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - 9 Hour Battery Life.
